(SR5) Last minute rumor: Fisheye adapter for the 16mm lens!
It is no secret anymore that Sony will launch the new 16mm f/2.8 lens for the NEX system. But now we got informations from our sources that Sony will also deliver a fisheye lens adapter which you can use on the 16mm lens. We have no reliable information about the focal lenght but we speculate the fisheye lens will convert the 16mm in a 8mm (?) fisheye.

I’m bit worried about quality of such set, but it can’t be worse than 18-70 f/3.5-5.6 at 70mm wide open.

3 years ago |Nice idea, better than buying a separate fisheye lens – it’s interesting, but of limited use. This way, you get fisheye functionality, but in a more practical package … I suppose it’s smaller, lighter and cheaper.

3 years ago |very smart move! i was just thinking about the fisheye today, and ta daa! being the camera it is, adding fisheye is definitely a great choice, it makes video shooting much more interesting.
